Artist Bio

Welcome to my collection of creations!

Hi! I am Shaena Polly of Shaena Polly Art, formerly the wonderment gallery. I am a working artist based in oceanside ca. Although i have been doing art in some way all my life, I started focusing on my passion and incessant need to constantly be creating in 2010. I have been painting or experimenting with new mediums just about every day since. I work out of my home studio space where i live with my husband and 3 cats. I have had cats my entire life and i don't think i would ever be able to live without a cat. so. somewhere around 2024 while trying to figure out my style and what i have to share with my art, I decided to focus on what i love and started to paint mainly just cats! cats have had a place in history and art and people's lives since the beginning of recorded history, and i am just doing my part to continue documenting these purrfect creatures.

i love finding an image of a cat to reimagine and bring to life with new colors or anthropomorphize them into a story to unfold in the painting. It also means the world to me when a client trusts me to immortalize their cat in a portrait commission.

I do still like to paint other subjects and occasionally have a dire need to attempt sculpting, but fo rthe most part I always return to my love.
